This was my first experience with Top Notch Carpet Cleaning. Customer service was outstanding, and they did a great job cleaning my carpets. They feel and look like new. Perfect communication and follow through. Friendly, courteous and professional. Definitely would use them again and would happily recommend their services.

Great quality carpet clean. We have five dogs and keep our house pretty clean. We didn't expect all the dog urine stains and smells to be completely gone and the carpet as good as new, but it came pretty close. Wife is very picky and she was happy. Spent half what we usually spend yearly at Stanley Steamer without the hassle of constant up selling.
I was expecting the owner to arrive at 11a and at 11a EXACTLY he was pulling into my driveway. He looked very professional, checked out the areas he would be cleaning and just started working. I found Jim to be very personable and warm while being very detailed in his explanation of his procedures. He made some suggestions about adding a good rug in front of my door and in the entryway where the stairs begin and I have used his suggestion and done so.
as trite as this may sound, when he first walked in he handed me a refrigerator magnet of his business card which I was grateful for since I'm not the most organized person and would most likely not be able to find him again!
I am extremely happy with Jim's work and plan on having him back for my next cleaning. Believe me, he is reasonably priced, hard working and honest and you won't be disappointed!
We had Top Notch in to clean our den, living room stairs and hall carpet. James was professional, friendly and did an excellent job at a reasonable cost ($125). Four days later my husband had an accident resulting in a lot of blood on our carpet. I called James around 7:15 am and, although, he had a full day he came to my home that evening and cleaned up the mess. He basically cleaned the bathroom hall carpet, and significant areas in our bedroom for $75.00. I can't say enough about what a thorough, professional job he did. Quite frankly, I thought I would have to put in a new carpet, but no - James got it so clean, you'd never know we had the problem!

After receiving a request from our realtor to clean our carpets prior to sale, we contacted Top Notch on the Tuesday before July 4th. We scheduled an appointment on Thursday (two days later). The realtor let them in to the property, so we weren't there to tell if they were on time, but they did call and confirm. We came by to pay them. It took about an hour.
They worked promptly and finished the room. The carpets were in good shape with just a tiny bit of dampness. Afterwards there was no noticeable smell in the basement. The cleaning seemed to be very thorough and accomplished what we wanted.
They were easy to schedule, reasonably priced, and finished on time. We would use them again.
James was amazing! I called and he came over the same day. The carpets look restored to their original appearance. I would definitely have James come back in the future.

I have used James many times now and he does a fabulous job and his rates are very fair. I own an upright commercial carpet cleaner machine like the ones you rent at the store. I will bring it out to do a single room or for touch up. But, when it comes time to do all the carpets at once, it's time to call James w/ Top Notch Carpet Cleaning. I've used him for a few years now and he's always been very fair on the bill and he's always on time. Do yourself a favor and call him for your next carpet cleaning!!!

use this guy to clean your carpets. Super fast response to my original email, punctual, polite, professional. The job he did on our carpets is amazing, we have three kids and two dogs- our carpets were very dirty. He got them so clean, I was amazed. Way better than big companies I've hired to do our carpets. He even went over our family room twice to make sure he did it as well as possible. He also explained that some stains may come back as they may be in the pad, which made sense and I appreciated his honestly. Will always hire this company from here on out.

Our carpet hadn't been cleaned for several years, and with a dog and 2 cats, it was time! James arrived on time and proceeded to clean the living room and dining room, plus two short hallways. He has been here several times before,, and he knew exactly what this would entail. He provided his own water supply from the tank on his truck.
He worked quickly and carefully, lifting an easy chair and the couch, and placed styrofoam pads underneath the legs.
When he was finished about an hour later, the carpet would probably need to dry for 24 hours, and we understood this from the beginning, so it was not a problem.
We would like to have him back again and again. He is that good!
James returned my call for an estimate in a timely manner. He schedules service on weekends, which is very helpful. He showed up right on time. He is professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and a very hard worker. The carpets looked fanstastic! He uses high power blowers in the areas you want dry first and those areas were dry before he left. The other areas dried quickly after he left.

James Marsh was an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process of having our carpets and upholstery cleaned. He responded to telephone enquiries immediately - I never had to call him back or even leave a message. After discussing the work to be done, we set a date for within a week. James showed up bang on time, and got stuck into his work immediately. Some of our furniture is heavy and difficult to move, but what pieces we were unable to move ahead of time, he moved himself - quickly and without complaint.
Although James worked quickly, he was extremely thorough, and made what I thought would be an ordeal seem like cocktail hour. He was so relaxed and personable - a super nice guy. And he made it all so easy as he worked from room to room, very organized, very professional, and without even freaking out the cats. The reason we had called him in the first place was that, with seven rescue cats domiciled in our house, our carpets and sofas had over time become badly stained with feline vomit, droolings, 'puddings' of unknown nature, and the occasional remains of small rodents. Not to mention urine stains and territorial spray. Not having had our carpets and upholstery cleaned for a shamefully long time, we did not really expect much of this to be successfully removed. But James performed an unexpected miracle. I still don't know how he managed to remove one especially egregious urine stain, which had actually discolored a sofa, and return this item back to its original state - and color; but he did.
The cherry on the cake is that James wore the little booties in our house, keeping the floors from being tracked; and he also cleaned up thoroughly and moved all of the furniture back into place. We didn't have to lift a single arthritic finger. His price for all of the work he did was extremely reasonable, and we would welcome him back into our home any time.
James from Top Notch showed up right on time. He cleaned a bedroom carpet that smelled like dog. It smells great now. The dog smell is totally gone. He also cleaned a family room carpet that was really dirty and stained. All the stains are gone and the room looks awesome! Last but not least, he cleaned a white chair that is the favorite of one of the dogs. I cannot believe how good it looks! I will definitely call Top Notch when my carpets need their next cleaning.

Great experience! I've recommended James to other home owners in the past and they've all been very happy, but haven't had the opportunity to use his services myself, as my home has hardwoods throughout. But I just bought a rental property with wall to wall carpet and I was afraid I would have to replace them--the carpet isn't the best quaility and they're a light tan color and there were spots I was sure wouldn't come out, partiuclarly where some furniture obviously sat and stained the carpet as well as mysterious dark stains along the baseboards. But James got right to work and not only reassured me that the carpet had some life in it, but that he could get it looking good and he really did! When he left, the carpets looked great and were only slightly damp, so I could continue doing some work around the house and with the heat turned up, they were almost fully dry w/in 6 hours or so. Smells clean, but not perfumey.
But my page of happiness nomination isn't just for a job done well, which I expect actually, but for his going above and beyond: not only did James schedule the cleaning around my other projects going on, he enthusiastically helped me complete one frustrating project--I had been trying to remove fiberglass insulation that had been stuffed into air return vents (who knows why?) by using my shop vac to suction grab a piece and slowly pull it toward the opening where I could grab it, but my shop vac simply didn't have the umph to hold on. James amusedly watched my futile efforts with my shop vac and rake and then offered to give it a try with his much more effective vacuum (connected by a long hose to his van). He then spent a good 15-20 minutes with me laborously working the insulation out of the ducts and vacuuming the duct out in the process, though it required that he clean the filter on his vacuum moter several times. And he didn't add anything to his bill for his extra time and effort. I very much appreciated both his help and his attitude.

James was friendly, trustworthy, punctual, and very flexible with our schedules. We left him a key under the doormat and a check on the counter because we had to work during his appointment. Hello, James showed 15 minutes early ready to work. Did a tour of the house and then began working. House was 4700 sqft and he was exact on his time estimate. All carpets were cleaned and looked great when finished. We liked his work so much we had him clean carpets in another property we own. Again he showed early and ready to work. Carpets came out great. We will use and recommend to friends in future. Price was very good. It was a pleasure working with James.
James was very apologetic for arriving 10 minutes late. He had just had new clinking equipment installed in his truck and the technicians had taken longer than planned.
He went right to work and completed the cleaning in about two hours. The results were excellent. I had resigned myself to replacing the carpets and was trying the cleaning as a last resort. But after cleaning, the carpets looked almost like new.

Had Jim come out & clean the carpets in my rental house. Jim was scheduled to be at my rental house at 9 AM & showed up right on time. He then cleaned the hallway carpet, a large number of stairs, a bedroom carpet & a area rug. The area rug had a very large dark stain in it, which Jim was able to get clean. I thought he did a great job for a very reasonable price. I would definitaley use his service again.

I called James on Monday, explaining that we needed to have the carpets cleaned. They needed it, but the pushing factor was the dog being sprayed by a skunk. He was able to work us into his schedule for the next day and was able to pick up a special rug cleaner solution that was specific to skunk odor removal. He was very friendly. I would highly recommend James!
James was very quick to respond, even on his day off. I scheduled an appt for 2 weeks out (my preference, I think he would have been available sooner, he's very accommodating). Day of our appointment he showed up on time, explained to me what he thought he could do for me and went to work. A visiting guest had tracked big, muddy footprints on my almost white living room carpet over 2 years ago. I had attempted to emergency spot clean it and a previous carpet cleaner had cleaned it shortly thereafter but it came right back. James was not sure he could do better and warned me it could come back. I've waited 2 weeks to report in. No stains! The muddy footprints are finally gone and don't appear to be coming back. I am so pleased! Now I don't have to replace the carpet just yet. I would highly recommend James. He has a great customer service attitude and does a great job at a reasonable price.

We have multiple pets and he pretreats the carpet for stains and odors. There is no upselling. The price he quotes is what you pay. We would never use anyone else even if were less money because there is cleaning and there is cleaning. The experience was excellent from beginning to end. Our carpet is older and had a few areas that needed extra attention. James was very friendly and professional. Everything that he said he could do/not do was right and honest. Because of a previous job he was running 15min. late and called ahead of time to let me know. Exactly 15min. later James was at my front door. I can think of nothing that he should have done in addition or differently. My carpets look wonderful!
James is an incredibly nice person who did an excellent job on our
dirty, light-colored carpets. They had never been cleaned before and now
they look like new again. He also cleaned an area of our basement carpet on which a puppy had urinated. He worked VERY hard to remove the odor, and succeeded.
James squeezed us in so the carpet would be
clean before an open house (we had just put our house up for sale), even working late on a Friday night so he
could help us out. I invited him back to clean other carpets the next
week, he'd done such a good job. Highly recommended.

We had just closed on our house and wanted to get the carpet cleaned prior to moving in. I called James and left a message. He returned my call within the hour. He was able to come out on the day that I requested. He called the day he was to come out just to confirm the time and he was prompt. James is very personable and did and excellent job. My wife was removing wallpaper at the time and James even called a friend to get some hints on how to remove some stubborn wallpaper. I will certainly use Top Notch Carpet Cleaner Again
I called Top Notch and Immediately reached James. We set a date to have our rugs cleaned the following week. Jame came out the next week at our exact appointed time. James is very friendly and easy to talk to. We decided on what part of the house we wanted to have cleaned. James did exactly what we asked for and finished in a prompt amount of time. We had our rugs cleaned 3 years ago by another company and this time they look better than the time before. It is incredible the difference. James is very fair and hard working. We will use him again.
I called James and asked if he could come in just two days to clean our carpet. He had an opening. He did a fantastic job! Called me at work to tell me he was at our home to start the job. James and his helper cleaned our 28 year old carpeting in a master bedroom, walk-in closet, hallway and stairs, as well as several area rugs with his steam cleaning system. Remarkably, he was able to remove old oil stains that came from a treadmill.
This is the second time we've hired him. He is committed to customer service, and it shows!
When we called to make the arrangements, he spoke with me until all of my questions were answered. He assured me that if he didn't do a good job, he wouldn't charge for his work.
The day of our service he was scheduled to arrive at 10:30, but when another customer had to cancel at the last minute, he called to see if we were interested in having him come sooner. He arrived promptly, protected our hardwood entry prior to bringing in their hoses and equipment, and was wonderfully efficient and professional.
He had us inspect his work, and pointed out a couple of spots that were greatly improved but not gone (28 year old carpet). We were impressed!

James was very thorough and got out all the stains. I want to particularly highlight how responsive James was to our request. We called him early this morning and asked if he could help us today. He immediately said yes and showed up exactly when he said he would. He was very pleasant and did his work quickly but very well. I thought the price was very reasonable for the work he did. James always provides excellent, reasonably priced services. He was at our house for about two hours. He didn't charge full price for the upstairs bedrooms, which are pretty small and full of furniture.
Our house is always challenging because we have dogs who occasionally have urine accidents. James does as good a job as anyone possibly could at deodorizing.

One thing that was even more enjoyable this time was the presence of James' likeable assistant, his son Nick.
When James and Nick left, the carpet was well on its way to being dry. Full drying takes about 24 hours.
James was prompt and did a great job on my carpets. I had a bad doggie stain and he got it out first try. He said he would come back and work with it but it came out okay. It was a tough one that I had not been able to get it out myself. I am very pleased with his work and will call him again when I need the carpets done.

James is such a delight to work with. Very good about communication, verifying time of appointment, letting you know if he is running early or late for scheduled appointment.
I had him clean the living room and dining room at my Dad's house. It had been years since it had been cleaned, so it was in pretty bad shape. James worked "miracles" getting the black ground in stains around my Dad's chair in the dining room and the path from the kitchen to the living room out! I figured the carpet was ruined but it looks brand new!! He also was able to get 99% of the coffee stains out in front of my Dad's chair in the living room.
The carpet turned out much better than I ever thought was possible. Now I know we won't have to replace the carpet (for a while).
James had done such beautiful work that I had him come back the following week to clean the upholstery on a sofa and 2 recliners.
The sofa came out beautifully! It has a white background and was pretty soiled. James even took before and after pictures. My Dad's recliner, which needs to be reupholstered, is clean and refreshed. The other recliner, my husband and I had bought at an auction, now we know it is clean and looks brand new.

When I originally called James I had to leave a voicemail message. He was very prompt in returning my call and was extremely polite and courteous on the phone. When I called back to confirm my appointment a few days beforehand there had been a mixup on the time of our appointment but James was very accommodating and was able to schedule us for the same date. He arrived on time and was very pleasant. He did an extremely good job and was able to get a few stains out that I didn't think would be possible to remove. He brought new life to the carpet and my husband and I decided not to replace a few of the rooms he had cleaned because he did such a wonderful job removing the stains. Thanks James!
Jim and his son arrived as scheduled and cleaned all carpets in residence prior to our moving in furniture. Had some very significant stains that they worked very hard to remove. Very professional and explained what they were doing while cleaning and even went over several areas additional times to ensure carpet was a clean as possible.
James set up an appointment and was here on time with his son. Cleaned carpets down in the basement and upstairs. The carpets looked great after he had completed his cleaning. There were stains upstairs that have completely been removed as well as down in the basement. Very professional and would recommend his service to any one needing carpet cleaning.
OMG, James is awesome. I am a real estate broker and hired him to clean carpets at my listing that is about to go on the market. He did EVERYTHING right: prompt communications, punctuality, respect for my client and her home, and miraculously got out so many old stains from 12-year-old off-white carpet. Very knowledgeable about his work, and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, to boot. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
James did a great job cleaning the carpets at our new house, prior to move-in. The previous owner had not taken very good care of the place, and had cats. James was able to get out stains and smells that we were sure were permanent. Due to how deep some of the pet stains were, we will still need to replace the carpet at some point, but we now have some time to save up for new flooring, rather than having to replace it immediately like we had thought!
Conclusion: James (and his helper) were on time, friendly, professional, and did a great job.
James responded right away to our inquiry to clean carpets in a vacant home. He arrived at stated time. James was very polite, friendly, and professional. Spent about 90 minutes cleaning the rooms. They looked fantastic! We had some tough stains we weren't sure would come out, and James worked his magic.
The carpets weren't in bad shape prior to this cleaning, but they look SO much better! The service provider was on time, clean and professional from start to finish. I absolutely would recommend them and will use them again.
The owner and his son were very friendly and did an amazing job on our ten year old carpet. They got rid of stains that we thought were hopeless and didn't charge any extra to pre-treat them. The carpet felt soft and fresh when they left. It wasn't sticky or smelly, so they definitely didn't leave any residue. Just yesterday, a friend remarked that our carpet (10 years old) looks better than her two year old carpet. Kind of cool!
We called them and they immediately returned our call and made an appointment. We feel they are trustworthy as well as a nice company to deal with. We left them a key and when we checked later, they were all done and it looked so nice. We would use them again.
I talked with James and scheduled the carpet cleaning about 2 weeks in advance. A few days before, I had to change the day. James accommodated my schedule with no problems at all. I actually never met James because someone else let him in so his work speaks for him. I was very happy with the job that he did. When I walked in the house the next day, the carpet looked nearly brand new. I will use Top Notch Carpet Cleaning next time I need the carpets done. Thanks James!

James is the best! He and his son met me at my unit at 7:00 am because that was the only time I was available before I left on vacation, and as always did an amazing (and quick!) job.
The day of service, they called and asked if they could come early as there had been a cancellation. I was happy to get things going earlier so I said yes. They then came and got to work. They were able to get some serious stains out of my carpet that I thought would never have come out, some of which had survived previous carpet cleaners. I thought they did an excellent job and in a fairly short period of time considering all the rooms involved. I was more than pleased with the work and with the price. I will definitely use them again.
The owner scheduled the visit and was very pleasant and professional. They showed up right on time and did a very nice job on the carpets. He got the high traffic areas and stairs clean, which I had not been able to do with a rental machine. The price was good and he did not charge extra for stain pre-treatment.

This company did a splendid job on my very dirty carpet. It had many large spots I could not explain. The carpet cleaner examined my carpet carefully and decided that letting it go during the pandemic was the reason it got so dirty just six months after a cleaning by another company. I ordered the deep clean from this company and it brought my carpet back. It now looks almost new. Even the runner is clean so I will not be trashing it as planned.
These guys have the best customer service, hands down. There was a miscommunication and I should have chatted more thoroughly with Justin when he was here so not all their fault at all. But when I let them know that there was a problem, they responded immediately and totally took care of it. Highly, highly recommend.

They were able to provide quick and reliable service for my home rental - the entire second floor and two staircases - during a tight scheduling time frame on my end. While the home was very nice, the carpet was a cheap grade and difficult to keep looking great. However, after Top Notch, the carpet looked great after two years of use and some puppy accidents (which they handled specially). I would highly recommend James and his team!

Super easy to make an appointment. James was even a little early. He cleaned up stains that I didn't think would come out, but sure enough he got them out. He's a dream of a professional: easy to make appointments, on time, does what he says he's going to do, he's neat and tidy and has a great smile. Others should take lessons from his skill and professionalism.
